Mark Elliott, Vice President at Coventry Log Homes, is the new Chairman of the Log and Timber Homes Council.
Mark Elliott, Vice President at Coventry Log Homes, is the new Chairman of the Log and Timber Homes Council, which is part of the National Association of Home Builders.
Mark is taking over the chairmanship from Doug Terrell, the 2014 Chair of the Council and Vice President at Blue Ridge Log Cabins.
The Chairman of the Council also leads the Log and Timber Homes Council Steering Committee, which is charged with providing guidance and navigation strategies for the overall membership. Each year, the Log and Timber Homes Council votes for a new secretary to join the leadership structure and the members move up one position on the leadership ladder.
The purpose of the Steering Committee is to ensure the long-term viability and vision of the Council. Each steering committee member is tasked with oversight of a certain aspect of the Council.
Mark has been involved in the log and timber home business his whole life. He started working in the family business
when he was in high school. He’s been involved in every part of the business, from selling homes to building them.
Mark is also an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he serves as a deacon, song leader, and Sunday School teacher. In his free time, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, hunting, fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, camping, skiing, and riding ATVs.
