The natural bounty of the wooded landscape, felled and hand hewn by successive generations of sturdy, adventuring pioneers, gave shape to the dream of building a new land. Jim Barna Log & Timber Homes are the dazzling reincarnation of an unforgettable legacy of the American past.

Our founder Jim Barna was involved in construction nearly his entire life. As a child he helped his father build their family’s home.  While still a young man, Jim started his own excavating and construction company. But, it was only after returning home from Vietnam that his future in log homes began to take shape.

When Jim Barna established our company in 1976, he made a personal pledge that he would devote his full time and energy to build a company that would become the leader in the manufacture of log homes and timber frame homes and would set the standard, year after year, for our industry.  We at Jim Barna Log & Timber Homes have accomplished all this and much more.

Today Jim Barna Log & Timber Homes is a distributor owned company. We are proud of our rich heritage. We attribute our success to the team of professionals who make up our company and to our corporate commitment to uncompromising quality, craftsmanship, service and product innovation.

Every home we produce is made with pride in the American tradition. Each is the product of an age-old building concept that has been coupled with the most modern manufacturing techniques and expertise.

Log Homes and Timber Frame Homes are an intrinsic part of the American way of living, past and present. There is a timelessness about them that speaks of endurance, stability and vision. We at Jim Barna Log & Timber Homes are proud to be the modern-day pioneers of a tradition built on log and timber frame systems that work.

We invite you to join the thousands of satisfied customers who personally live in one of our homes by the purchase of a log home or timber frame home of distinction.
